March

Colleagues and friends,

Information Technology (IT) at Penn State is a dynamic area, affecting every student, faculty, and staff member. Walk into any classroom, meeting location, or office across our campuses, and you will find technology in use. Your expectation is that the technology you depend on works effectively and efficiently. Our responsibility is to provide and support stable systems to make that happen.

As Penn State’s first-ever vice president for IT and chief information officer, I spent my first year listening and learning in order to assess our current state and formulate a roadmap to transform IT at Penn State. With our senior leadership team in place, we are embarking on our journey.

Each month, I will share more in this space on the progress we are making on reimagining IT at Penn State. You can follow along here and also through the stories, engagements, and updates you will find in the OneIT section of this site.

If you have any questions or comments, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me at CIO@psu.edu.

Best regards,
Michael
