As executive director, Adam Caimi orchestrates strategic alignment across IT delivery areas and the University, focusing specifically on advancing IT modernization. The overall goal of the modernization work is to contribute to the University’s fiscal goals by increasing the IT Community’s financial benefit to the University by $25 million by the start of fiscal year 2022-23. Caimi provides thought leadership, guidance on strategic alignment, and execution oversight to the activities affiliated with the modernization efforts.
Caimi has been with Penn State since 2007. He received his bachelor’s degree in information sciences and technology and master of business administration, both from Penn State. Most recently, he served as executive director of Information Technology for Penn State Outreach and Online Education. Prior to his time with the University, Caimi was a strategic consultant with Booz Allen Hamilton, working with the Department of Defense in the Washington, D.C. area.
