As Financial Officer Strategic Partner, Tim Shuey serves a dual reporting role to the Office of the Corporate Controller and the vice president for Information Technology and chief information officer. Shuey supports the unit through strategic budgetary planning and funding models, financial reporting, and oversight of policy and procedures. Through collaboration with the financial officer community and IT leaders, he is working to develop standards and consistency in IT financial management within the University.
Shuey previously served in various financial leadership roles in private sector hospitality, real estate investment trust, and Penn State’s Auxiliary and Business Services.
Shuey received his bachelor’s in hotel, restaurant and institutional management from Penn State. He also earned a bachelor’s in accounting from Towson University and his MBA from Penn State. He holds certifications as a Certified Public Accountant and in Technology Business Management Executive Foundations. He is a member of the American Institute for Certified Public Accountants and the Technology Business Management Council.
